Prepositions of place (in, on, at)

In English, when you’re talking about places, it’s important  to use the correct preposition. Follow these rules to make your English beautiful.

In   

  • Countries
  • Cities
  • Contained inside something (e.g a box)
  • Car/taxi

On

  • Most transport (plane, train, horse, bicycle…)
  • Touching a surface

At

  • home/work/school
  • Standing/sitting very close to something
